Uses the theme of a rowing shell to link to people and performance issues and to allow you to discuss many aspects of team-based results.

This is a very complete set of 15 cartoon illustrations and 19 useful quotes for a total of 43 different slides. This material does not duplicate the Square Wheels cartoons. This is a unique set of engagement tools.

The metaphor of a rowing shell is a good one and I make my presentations using these tools very interactive. First is a graphic that accompanies a, "What does this represent?" question for the participants, where you can elicit the understanding that the graphic represents an 8-oared rowing shell with coxswain. You can use the metaphor to talk about what it takes to actually put a team in a boat and move the boat across the water smartly. These racing shells, by the way, are 65 feet long and weigh around 200 pounds, and they are outfitted with long oars and 9 people. Just getting in one requires a coordinated effort.

This is a nice metaphor and we put it together with a lot of good quotes. It can easily link into an action planning session for team-based performance improvement. And we include some funny situational illustrations that you will find useful!
